Watch Santa arrive by boat in this unique celebration! Santa’s Boat Parade sponsored and organized by the Greater Hyannis Civic Association and the Cape Cod Maritime Museum provides fun activities for kids, warm clam chowder, coffee, and hot chocolate for sale, starting at 4 pm.

2025 Thanksgiving “Turkeys for Cape Codders”

St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 3055 Main St., Barnstable
We need your help for those less fortunate during the season of gratitude. For the past 20 years we have been assisting families in our community with Thanksgiving baskets and turkeys so those who might need a little help have a delicious meal. In 2024 we assisted 331 families!
This year we are again going to have a curbside pick-up on Saturday, Nov. 22.
If you know a family in need, please have them call Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands 508-771-1727 ext. 117 to Register. Registration Deadline is November 10.

Cape Cod Mall and Cape Cod Community Pantry Ongoing Donation Drive

Cape Cod Mall, 769 Iyannough Rd, Hyannis
Shoppers and community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items,
toiletries, and household essentials to help stock the pantry’s shelves and assist neighbors
across the Cape. Donations can be dropped off at two convenient locations within the mall: at
the Management Office, located across from Men’s Wearhouse, or in the designated collection
bin just outside of Target’s mall entrance.

A Christmas Carol

Set during the Great Depression, the show opens with a ragtag traveling theater troupe arriving in town to perform the Dickens’ classic, only to discover that their Scrooge has jumped ship and Tiny Tim’s been fired for eating the props. But the show must go on -- so the troupe bands together, recasts the roles, and delivers Dickens’ yuletide tale of ghosts, regrets, redemption, and generosity for its eager audience.Thursdays thru Saturdays at 7PM, with Sunday matinees at 2PM. Annual Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument

This year’s lighting will be held in person atop High Pole Hill and everyone is welcome to this free community event. There will be a DJ and a cash bar selling adult and kid-friendly drinks as well as snacks. The lights will go on at 5:00 p.m. The community can enter the grounds via the inclined elevator on Bradford Street or PMPM's High Pole Hill Road entrance.

A Christmas Carol: A Solo Performance by Neil McGarry

Falmouth Christmas Parade

Bring your family, your guests and your friends to the BEST and largest Christmas Parade in all of Southeast New England. A Falmouth holiday tradition, presented for the 61st consecutive year by the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce and led by David Vieira, Falmouth Town Crier. The parade will step-off at noontime from Dillingham Avenue and Davis Straits and proceed along Main Street to the Village Green. It will feature decorated floats, marching bands, costumed characters and Santa Claus! Smile for the cameras, as FCTV will once again film the entire parade for local viewing. *Rain or Shine.

Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll

Route 6A will be transformed into a winter wonderland brimming with festive cheer. Hop aboard a trolley for a joyful ride, tap your toes to lively holiday tunes, and be enchanted by merry entertainment. Don't forget to treat yourself to delicious holiday goodies as you stroll along! This free event is the perfect way to spread holiday cheer with your loved ones. Homestead for the Holidays: A Patriotic Affair

This year as part of the festivities, Nye Museum staff and volunteers will be competing in an
election cake bake-off. Visitors are invited to the Grange Hall to vote for their favorite bite. Paula
Marcoux will also be on-site at 2PM to discuss the history and democratic roots of this cake.
Visitors will walk through the beautifully decorated homestead with patriotic accents and enjoy
traditional wassail and cookies. Children will enjoy a make-and-take crafting station.

  • Toys for Tots: The Marine Corps Reserve program delivering hope to children at Christmastime and beyond, since 1947.

  • Homeless for the Holidays: Their mission is to collect unwrapped new toys, non-perishable food items and monetary donations. Partnered with PIXY 103.

Meal and Food Assistance

  •  Community Action Committee (CACCI): Offers a "Turkey for Cape Codders" program for low-income families, which provides a turkey and a grocery gift card.

  • Falmouth Service Center: Provides "Holiday Turkey Baskets" with a turkey and fixings to registered clients in Barnstable County. Clients must sign up for this program.

  • Family Pantry of Cape Cod: Offers groceries twice a month and provides Christmas toys and gift cards to children.

  • Lower Cape Outreach Council: Operates nine emergency food pantries and provides financial assistance to help meet needs during the winter.
